Role Description and positions we are hiring now- The Lead Software Engineer, candidates will design, develop, and maintain software solutions that support Maplores’ compliance and consulting services. This full time hybrid role is based in Guwahati, with a mix of on-site collaboration and work-from-home flexibility.

Day-to-day responsibilities include leading back-end development efforts, architecting scalable systems, writing clean and maintainable code, and overseeing code reviews to ensure quality and security. The role also involves collaborating with consultants and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical specifications, integrating third-party services, and optimizing performance of existing applications.

Engineer will mentor junior engineers, promote engineering best practices, and contribute to continuous improvement of the technology stack and development processes.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Computer Science, including algorithms,



data structures, and software architecture principles.
- Proficiency in Software Development and Programming, with experience delivering production-grade applications.
- Hands-on expertise in Back-End Web Development, including APIs, databases, and server-side frameworks.
- Practical experience with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and design patterns.
- Experience leading engineering projects or teams, including code reviews and technical decision-making.
- Knowledge of secure coding practices and performance optimization for web applications.
- Familiarity with modern development tools and workflows (version control, CI/CD, testing frameworks).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment.
