Role summary: Operate lathe machines for turning, machining, and finishing roll shafts, pipes, and cores to specified dimensions.
Key responsibilities:
- Operate conventional/CNC lathes as per job drawing
- Achieve dimensional accuracy and surface finish as specified
- Perform basic tool setting and machine maintenance
- Read engineering drawings and work to tolerances
- Follow safety and quality procedures
Must-have: Experience operating lathes on shafts, rolls, or cylindrical components • roll-manufacturing background strongly preferred. ITI Turner/Machinist trade certificate is a plus, not mandatory.
