Job Summary
We are looking for a Lab Technician / Senior Lab Technician responsible for accurate and timely sample processing, laboratory testing, instrument handling and maintaining quality standards.
The ideal candidate should be technically sound, disciplined, willing to learn current technologies and comfortable taking responsibility for laboratory operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform laboratory tests as per defined SOPs and quality standards.
- Handle laboratory instruments and analysers efficiently.
- Ensure proper sample identification, processing and testing.
- Maintain accuracy and reliability of test results.
- Monitor sample quality and report issues appropriately.
- Follow laboratory safety, hygiene and quality protocols.
- Maintain equipment and report breakdowns or technical issues.
- Ensure timely completion of assigned testing and reporting activities.
- Maintain proper documentation and laboratory records.
- Coordinate with senior technicians, laboratory teams and operations teams.
- Learn and adapt to new instruments, technologies and laboratory processes.
- Support continuous improvement in laboratory quality and productivity.
- Take ownership of assigned responsibilities and maintain qualified discipline.
Required Qualification
- DMLT / B.Sc. MLT / B.Sc. / M.Sc. or relevant laboratory qualification.
- Relevant experience in a diagnostic laboratory will be preferred.
- Freshers with the right learning attitude may also be considered for suitable positions.
Preferred Technical Exposure Experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Haematology
- Biochemistry
- Immunology
- Serology
- Hormones
- HPLC
- Clinical Chemistry
- Microbiology
- Sample Processing
Hands-on experience with automated laboratory analysers will be an advantage.
