You'll cut the videos that get watched, not scrolled past, turning raw footage into content that's tight, punchy, and finished. This is a role for someone who already has a reel worth showing, not one they're hoping to build here. You'll work from footage to final export, shape pacing and story in the edit, and get better and faster with every project.

What You'll Do• Edit short and long-form video from raw footage to a polished, ready-to-publish final cut.

- Build pacing, structure, and story in the edit, not just trim clips end to end.
- Design and animate motion graphics — lower thirds, titles, transitions, straightforward explainer elements — that look native to the edit, not bolted on.
- Add captions, sound design, and color that match the intended style.
- Work from a brief or reference and match tone, format,



and platform requirements without hand-holding.
- Turn around revisions quickly and take feedback without needing it repeated.
- Organize footage, assets, and project files so anyone on the team can pick up where you left off.

What You'll Need• A portfolio or reel of real edited work you can walk us through, not templates or spec ads.
- 1+ years editing video professionally or a body of freelance/personal work that proves the same skill.
- Strong hands-on skill in Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve, including multicam, color, and audio basics.
- Working proficiency in After Effects — able to build titles, lower thirds, and simple animated graphics from scratch, not just drop in templates.
- A trained eye for pacing and cuts — you can tell why a scene isn't working, not just that it isn't.
- Comfort working independently against a brief and a deadline.

Nice to Have• Experience editing specifically for short-form/social formats (Reels, TikTok, Shorts).
- More advanced motion design — character animation, kinetic typography, or explainer-style graphics.
- Experience editing for international or English-speaking audiences.
