Job Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Pipeline Orchestration: Design, implement, and manage end-to-end Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or
GitHub Actions.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Automate the provisioning of DC/DR environments using
Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation to ensure environment parity and eliminate
"configuration drift."
- Release Governance: Manage the automated promotion of code from Dev to UAT and finally to Production, ensuring all SEBI-mandated audit trails are captured within the pipeline.
- Security Integration: Shift security "left" by integrating SAST/DAST (Static/Agile
Application Security Testing) and SCA (Software Composition Analysis) tools like
SonarQube, Snyk, or Checkmarx into the build process.
- Tooling Availability: Own the 24/7 uptime and performance of the DevOps toolchain (Git,
Nexus/Artifactory, Vault), ensuring that developer productivity is never hindered by tool failures.
- Secret Management: Implement secure credential management using HashiCorp Vault or
Secrets Manager to ensure zero plain-text passwords in the delivery lifecycle.
- Capability Building: Act as a DevOps champion, training and mentoring internal engineering squads on containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), microservices deployment, and "git-ops"
workflows.
- Process Standardization: Establish and document best practices for branching strategies,
semantic versioning, and blue-green/canary deployment patterns.
- Culture Shift: Partner with the SRE and Tech Lead teams to reduce "Toil" by automating repetitive manual interventions in the production environment.
Preferred skills:
- Expert level with Docker, Kubernetes (K8s), Helm, and CI/CD tools. Proficiency in scripting with Python, Go, Groovy, Rust, C++, Java.
