Role & responsibilities
- Understand and analyses the customer RFI/RFQ documents and HW requirements.
- Experience of BMS AFE, MCU, power supply, isolation, sensing, protection, contactor-driver, and communication circuits
- EMC/ESD/transient design, isolated daisy-chain, and diagnostics
- Define HV-BMS hardware architecture and specifications.
- Implement and validate SOC, SOH, SOP and cell balancing algorithms (optional)
- Support integration with battery packs, VCU, and DC-DC systems.
- Perform module or DUT level testing and debugging.
- Valuable hand-on SMD soldering and components packages understanding.
- Good experience in MCU selection, power supply design, signal conditioning , and filter circuits, and protection circuits.
- Perform HIL, SIL, bench and vehicle validation activities.
- Debug field and validation issues using CAN and diagnostic tools.
- Support ISO 26262 functional safety activities and FMEA reviews.
- Collaborate with software, hardware and vehicle integration teams.
Preferred candidate profile
- 4-8 years of experience in HW for EV Battery Management Systems.
- Schematic design entry, layout, HV isolation coordination and simulation tool hands-on.
- Experience with 400V and/or 800V EV platforms.
- Knowledge of battery thermal management systems.
- Exposure to ASPICE and ISO 21434 Cybersecurity.
- Supplier management and customer interaction experience
- DC contactors, effuse, and current measurement strong understanding and design.
- Strong understanding of Lithium-Ion battery technology and battery pack architecture.
- Knowledge of CAN, CAN FD, UDS diagnostics and Vector CANoe/CANalyzer.
- Experience in BMS validation, HIL testing and issue investigation.
- Understanding of HV safety concepts including contactors, pre-charge, isolation monitoring and HVIL.
- Working knowledge of ISO 26262 Functional Safety.
