Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Spring Boot Engineer with strong Google Cloud Platform experience and preferably a healthcare domain background. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and support secure, scalable, cloud-native healthcare applications while leveraging Google Vertex AI and AI-assisted engineering practices to improve delivery speed, code quality, and solution intelligence.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade backend services using Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices architecture.

- Build and deploy cloud-native applications on Google Cloud Platform using services such as Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, and managed databases.

- Integrate Google Vertex AI capabilities into healthcare applications, including generative AI, model endpoints, prompt-based workflows, and intelligent automation use cases.

- Apply responsible AI and vibe coding practices to accelerate development, improve developer productivity, and support rapid prototyping while ensuring code quality, security, and maintainability.

- Collaborate with product owners, architects, business analysts, QA, DevOps, and healthcare stakeholders to translate business and clinical requirements into technical solutions.

- Ensure application designs and data handling practices align with healthcare security, privacy, and compliance expectations, including protection of PHI/PII and HIPAA-aligned controls.

- Participate in code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, CI/CD automation, performance tuning, production support, and incident resolution.

- Contribute to architecture discussions, reusable frameworks, technical documentation,



and engineering best practices across delivery teams.

Required Skills and Experience

- Lead: 10+ and Developers 6+ years of hands-on software engineering experience with strong backend development expertise.

- Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, microservices, object-oriented design, and secure coding practices.

- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform services and cloud-native application development.

- Practical experience using Google Vertex AI or related AI/ML platforms for generative AI, model integration, embeddings, prompt workflows, or intelligent automation.

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git-based source control, automated testing, containerization, and DevOps practices.

- Healthcare domain experience, including familiarity with payer, provider, pharmacy, claims, clinical, patient engagement, or healthcare data platforms.

- Understanding of healthcare data privacy, PHI/PII handling, HIPAA-aligned security controls, auditability, and production support expectations.

- Ability to use AI-assisted development or vibe coding approaches responsibly, validating generated code for correctness, reliability, security, and maintainability.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with healthcare interoperability standards such as HL7, FHIR, EDI X12, or similar healthcare integration patterns.

- Knowledge of BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Composer, Apigee, Kubernetes, Terraform, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or observability tools.

- Experience working in Agile or Secure delivery environments with distributed onshore/offshore teams.

- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical designs, risks, and trade-offs to business and technology stakeholders.
