About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Backend Developer to join our fully remote team at Textellent, Inc. This pivotal role involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend systems that support our SMS marketing automation platform. As a key contributor, you will utilize your expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and AWS to build high-performance APIs and infrastructure.

Your work will be instrumental in automating processes and optimizing system performance through the integration of AI-powered development tools. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 4 to 7 years of experience in backend development, demonstrating a strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, SQL, and AWS services. Familiarity with AI-based development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, or Lovable is highly desirable, along with an interest in leveraging artificial intelligence to enhance coding efficiency. Candidates should have prior experience working remotely and exhibit excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

A solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, cloud deployment, and database optimization is essential. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain robust backend functionalities using Java and Spring Boot, ensuring scalability and security.
- Design, optimize, and manage relational databases utilizing SQL to support platform features.
- Deploy and oversee applications on Amazon Web Services (AWS), including EC2, S3, RDS, SNS, and SQS, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Implement continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD)



pipelines using tools such as GitHub and Jenkins to streamline development workflows.
- Utilize AI-assisted development tools to accelerate coding, testing, and deployment processes, maintaining high-quality standards.
- Collaborate effectively with remote teams across various disciplines to deliver innovative solutions that meet business objectives.
- Participate in code reviews, documentation, and testing to ensure reliable and maintainable codebases.
