– Financial Applications Specialist (Oracle EBiz Suite) Role Overview

This role is responsible for driving requirement analysis, solution design, implementation, and production stability for Finance-related applications, with a strong focus on Oracle Apps EBusiness Suite. It requires close coordination with business users, development teams, and vendor partners to ensure highquality delivery, compliance, and operational continuity.

Key Responsibilities Business Engagement & Requirements Management

- Conduct workshops and meetings with business users to understand needs and gather functional requirements for Financial Applications.
- Map business processes, document requirements, and assess feasibility within existing system architecture.
- Identify and evaluate technology solutions that meet business objectives without compromising architectural principles.

Solution Design, Development & Integration

- Collaborate with developers, integration teams, and technical leads to design and implement system enhancements.
- Provide functional guidance and training when required to ensure smooth adoption of recent functionalities.
- Define technical solutions for special projects impacting Finance applications.

Testing & Quality Assurance

- Prepare test designs for newly deployed functionalities and enhancements.
- Supervise User Acceptance Testing (UAT), ensuring test coverage, proper execution, and timely resolution of defects.
- Ensure impact analysis is completed for all deployments and that quality criteria are consistently met.

Release, Deployment & Delivery Management

- Drive adherence to delivery timelines and ensure deployments move to production on schedule.
- Oversee bug fixes during UAT and ensure production readiness.
- Continuously monitor production support issues, service requests, patch management, and postrelease items to prevent unscheduled downtime.

Production Stability & Period Closing Support

- Track and supervise resolution of critical production issues,



upgrades, and other key deliveries.
- Participate in regular Disaster Recovery (DR) drills to ensure alignment between DR and production environments.
- Support smooth financial period closures, including monthend, quarterend, and yearend activities.

Risk Management & Compliance

- Evaluate risks related to new initiatives and provide informed recommendations.
- Support statutory and internal audits by preparing necessary documentation and ensuring zero noncompliance and minimal audit remarks.

Reporting & Stakeholder Management

- Prepare monthly reports and participate in management review meetings, including Management Performance Review and MD Reports.
- Coordinate with team members and stakeholders to gather data and clarifications for report creation.
- Support preparation of reports for Board meetings.
- Drive timely communication and stakeholder engagement, addressing queries and facilitating discussions to resolve issues.

Project & Team Management

- Monitor progress of projects and change requests, providing guidance and corrective actions when needed.
- Coordinate with onsite support teams, offshore development teams, and testing teams to ensure effective solution delivery.
- Manage vendor teams, address conflicts, drive prioritization, and nurture positive working relationships.
- Define team goals, allocate responsibilities, and conduct performance evaluations against agreed targets.

Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Commerce, or Finance.
- 8–10 years of experience handling Oracle Apps EBusiness Suite in integrated environments, with exposure to managing internal and vendor teams.
- Minimum 8 years of experience working with Financial Applications, with strong understanding of India Localization.
- Knowledge of Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and experience in project management.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
