Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate inventory accounting and records for RM, Packaging, WIP, Finished Goods, and Consumables.
- Record and verify inventory receipts, issues, transfers, returns, adjustments, GRNs, invoices, and related documents.
- Reconcile inventory records between Physical Stock, Stores/Warehouse, Tally, and Financial Books.
- Monitor RM and packaging consumption against production and identify abnormal consumption, wastage, and yield variances.
- Reconcile production, dispatch, and closing stock and ensure accurate COGS accounting.
- Support inventory valuation as per company policies and applicable accounting standards.
- Monitor slow-moving, non-moving, obsolete, damaged, and ageing inventory.
- Coordinate physical stock verification and investigate stock shortages/excesses.
- Maintain accurate inventory masters, units, locations, and ledger mapping in Tally.
- Prepare monthly inventory MIS covering purchases, consumption, production, dispatch, closing stock,
wastage, variance, ageing, and COGS.
- Support SKU/product costing and analyse RM price, consumption, packaging, wastage, yield, and conversion cost variances.
- Ensure proper inventory controls and support internal and statutory audits.
- Coordinate with Procurement, Stores, Production, Warehouse, Sales, Quality, and Finance teams for inventory-related matters.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Solid knowledge of Inventory Accounting and Manufacturing Accounting
- Hands-on experience in Tally and MS Excel
- Knowledge of Inventory Valuation, COGS, Costing & Variance Analysis • Strong reconciliation and analytical skills
- Understanding of BOM, RM Consumption, WIP, Production & Yield
- Good coordination and communication skills
- FMCG/Manufacturing industry experience preferred
