Company Description Specmax Technologies Pte. Ltd. is a Singapore-based engineering organization established in 2014, serving semiconductor manufacturing, petrochemical, and related process industries. The company specializes in complex piping systems, equipment installation for chemical and slurry dispensing, and advanced control solutions including PLC programming and HMI/SCADA design and integration.

Specmax has extensive experience in project planning, execution, and commissioning of chemical, slurry, and gas systems for semiconductor facilities. Over more than seven years of operation, the company has successfully completed numerous projects and delivers cost-effective design, calculation, fabrication, and installation services for both greenfield and brownfield projects.

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Instrumentation and Control Engineer role based in Ahmedabad. The engineer will design, configure, and maintain instrumentation and control systems for semiconductor and related industrial projects, including PLC, HMI, and SCADA-based solutions. Daily responsibilities include preparing engineering documents and drawings, selecting and specifying instruments, supporting piping and equipment installations, and participating in testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of control systems.

The role involves close collaboration with project managers, design engineers, and site teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and in compliance with industry standards and client requirements. The engineer will also support maintenance activities,



optimize system performance, and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering practices.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess robust instrumentation and control engineering skills, including instrument selection, loop design, control logic development, and familiarity with process measurement and control principles.
- Candidates should possess PLC, HMI, and SCADA skills, including programming, configuration, integration with field devices, and system troubleshooting.
- Candidates should possess engineering design and documentation skills, including preparing P&IDs;, wiring diagrams, technical specifications, and commissioning procedures.
- Candidates should possess project execution skills, including site coordination, testing, commissioning, and maintenance support for industrial control and piping systems.
- Candidates should possess analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose control system issues, propose technical solutions, and optimize system performance.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills, enabling clear interaction with multidisciplinary teams, vendors, and clients.
- Relevant qualifications such as a diploma or degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics, or Control Engineering are beneficial, along with experience in semiconductor, petrochemical, or related process industries.
- Knowledge of safety standards, industrial codes, and best practices for chemical, slurry, and gas handling systems is advantageous.
