Role Description The Information Technology Field Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai. This role involves providing hands-on technical support for desktop computers, printers, and related hardware at various company locations, ensuring minimal downtime and smooth operations.

The technician will diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues, perform computer repairs and upgrades, install and configure devices,



and maintain inventory of IT equipment. The role also includes coordinating with centralized IT teams, documenting issues and resolutions, and supporting users with basic training and guidance on systems and tools. The technician is expected to follow company IT policies, adhere to safety standards, and deliver responsive, customer-oriented support to internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

- Technical Support and Troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve user issues efficiently.
- Hands-on experience with Desktop Computers and Computer Repair, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
- Printer Support skills covering setup, connectivity, and repair of printers and related peripherals.
- Knowledge of operating systems (Windows preferred) and basic networking concepts (LAN, Wi-Fi, IP addressing).
- Ability to work in office in Chennai, travel between locations if required, and manage tasks independently.
- Strong customer service orientation, communication skills, and the ability to document work clearly.
- Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, hardware/networking courses) are an advantage.
- Experience in field support or logistics/warehouse environments is beneficial.
