Job Summary

- We are looking for an experienced IBM API Connect & DataPower Developer with robust expertise in API development, integration, API security, and IBM middleware technologies.

- The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with IBM DataPower Gateway, IBM API Connect, API lifecycle management, REST/SOAP services, and XML/JSON-based integrations.

- The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, configuring, implementing, and supporting API and integration solutions across standalone and clustered environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop and implement APIs using IBM API Connect and IBM DataPower Gateway.

- Install, configure and maintain IBM DataPower, API Connect and Advanced Developer Portal in standalone and cluster environments.

- Design and develop secure, scalable and reusable APIs.

- Configure and manage API lifecycle management, security policies and API products.

- Implement DataPower services including MPGW, WAF, Web Service Proxy and Web XML Firewall.

- Configure and integrate API Connect Cloud with IBM DataPower.





- Customize and manage the Developer Portal.

- Configure built-in and user-defined API policies.

- Implement security definitions, gateway scripts and API error-handling mechanisms.

- Work with REST, SOAP, JSON and XML protocols and message formats.

- Design and implement API integrations between internal and external applications.

- Work with OpenAPI specifications and API documentation.

- Perform backup and restoration of API Connect configuration data, APIs and products.

- Integrate APIs and applications with external user registries.

- Develop and support LoopBack applications.

- Work with XML Schema, XPath, XSLT and XQuery for transformation and processing.

- Recommend architectural, design and integration improvements.

- Contribute to network architecture and extranet integration solutions.

- Troubleshoot API, integration, security and gateway-related issues.

- Collaborate with technical teams to deliver reliable and scalable integration solutions.
