We're looking for someone to own the people function end-to-end — recruitment, payroll, and the systems that keep a growing team accountable, fair, and well-run.

The role in one line You build and run the people-system: you hire well, pay people correctly and on time, and make sure everyone knows what's expected of them and how they're doing.

What you'll own

- Recruitment. End-to-end hiring — sourcing, screening, coordinating interviews, offers and onboarding — across trainers, counsellors and operations.
- Payroll & compliance. Accurate, on-time payroll and statutory compliance (PF, ESI, TDS, PT and returns), whether run in-house or coordinated with our partners.
- The performance rhythm. You run the review cadence off our KPI and MIS framework — goal-setting, monthly check-ins, tracking who's hitting targets and flagging gaps to the right function head. (You run the system; the function heads own their team's output.)
- Attendance, leave & records. Clean, reliable people data for the whole firm.
- Conduct, grievances & exits. You handle discipline, disputes and offboarding — fairly, discreetly, and by the book.
- Culture.



You help protect the honest, straight-talking culture that defines how we work.
- Cover. When a function head is away, you deputise on people and coordination matters (attendance, conduct, keeping things moving). Operational decisions stay within that function, with a named deputy.

What we're looking for

- 4–6 years as an HR generalist, including hands-on payroll and statutory compliance (or coordinating it), and real experience with conduct and employee relations
- Someone who can run a performance rhythm — not just process paperwork
- Fair and firm in equal measure: you can have a difficult conversation without it becoming a fight, and hold a standard without becoming the office enforcer
- Discreet — people trust you with sensitive things
- Comfortable in a quick-growing SME, building process where little exists yet
- Strong communicator in English and Hindi

Nice to have

- Experience in education, ed-tech, or a multi-role services business
- Exposure to setting up HR systems / HRMS from early stage
