Position Summary The Human Resources Officer is responsible for managing the employee lifecycle across the organisation, supporting recruitment, onboarding, employee administration, and outsourced HR services. The role ensures compliance with company policies and local employment requirements across India and multiple African markets while delivering an efficient and positive employee experience.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Coordinate end-to-end recruitment for positions across India and multiple African markets.
- Work with hiring managers to identify staffing requirements and develop job descriptions.
- Advertise vacancies, screen applications, coordinate interviews, and manage candidate communications.
- Conduct reference and background checks where required.
- Prepare employment offers and employment documentation.
Onboarding
- Coordinate the onboarding process for all new employees.
- Ensure all required employment documentation is completed prior to commencement.
- Facilitate induction programmes and orientation for new employees.
- Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure employees have the necessary equipment, system access, and resources.
HR Administration
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and personnel files.
- Ensure all employment contracts, compliance documents, and employee records are securely maintained and regularly updated.
- Monitor document expiry dates and ensure timely renewals where applicable.
- Prepare HR reports and maintain employee databases.
Employee Lifecycle Management
- Manage outsourced HR functions relating to employee onboarding and offboarding.
- Coordinate employee resignations, terminations, and exit processes.
- Ensure final documentation and clearance processes are completed in accordance with company policies and local legislation.
- Support employee queries regarding HR policies and procedures.
Benefits & Leave Administration
- Coordinate employee benefits administration with outsourced HR providers.
- Maintain accurate records of annual leave, sick leave, and other employee entitlements.
- Monitor leave balances and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Assist employees with benefits enrolment and related queries.
Compliance & Continuous Improvement
- Ensure HR processes comply with labour legislation and company policies across all operating markets.
- Work with outsourced HR providers to maintain compliance with statutory requirements.
- Recommend improvements to HR policies, procedures, and systems to enhance operational efficiency.
Skills & Experience
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Previous experience in Human Resources or Talent Acquisition.
- Experience coordinating recruitment across multiple countries is advantageous.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- High level of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR information systems.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a quick-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
