Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Partnering
- Design and align India specific HR strategies with global organization goals
- Partner with local leadership on workforce planning, organisation design and people priorities.
- Support business growth, team changes and organisational effectiveness initiatives.
o Align HR plans and interventions to business goals and workforce needs. Be a trusted advisor to the India leadership team on organisational design, culture, and change management. HR Business Partnering & Stakeholder Management
- Oversee HR support for employees in the India GCC in partnership with Global HR. o Build strong working relationships with leaders, HR colleagues and relevant external vendors. o Act as the main HR partner for local leadership, providing practical and commercially sound advice. o Contribute to process improvement, automation and digitisation initiatives across HR. o Resolve employee relations issues and grievances fairly, transparently, and in compliance with internal policies. • Employee Engagement & Culture
- Plan and deliver employee engagement initiatives that support an inclusive, high-performing culture. o Partner with Global HR to strengthen employee experience, retention and communication. o Foster an inclusive, high-performance culture that bridges local team dynamics with the parent company's values. • Compensation & Performance o Partner with Global Reward on the annual compensation cycle, benefits and incentives.
- Coordinate performance review cycles and support managers to identify development priorities.
- Organise career development initiatives in partnership with Global HR. • HR Operations o Manage onboarding and offboarding processes and ensure accurate, up-to-date employee records are maintained. o Coordinate payroll inputs with the outsourced provider.
- Oversee monthly payroll processing, provident fund (PF), gratuity, insurance, and any other employee perks administration. o Develop and update HR policies and procedures as needed.
- Manage India specific HR vendors and tools, including working with colleagues on the Global Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS). • Risk,
Compliance & Governance o Establish HR governance, policies, and compliance frameworks tailored to Indian labour laws while matching global standards.
- Ensure compliance with applicable India statutory and employment requirements, as well as data privacy standards.
- Support audits, policy adherence and proactive risk mitigation measures.
- Digital & Analytics Enablement
- Use HR technology platforms to improve efficiency and employee experience.
- Develop dashboards and workforce insights in collaboration with the HR Technology and Analytics Lead.
- Present relevant people insights to management to support decision-making.
- Talent Acquisition & Scaling
- Design and execute the hiring strategy to attract niche technical, functional, and leadership talent in collaboration with the Talent Acquisition team including:.
Building a strong employer brand in the local Indian market to position the GCC as an employer of choice Managing vendor relationships with recruitment agencies, background verification partners, and job portals.
- Performance Management & Talent Development
- Drive the annual performance management cycle, ensuring objective evaluation and alignment with global frameworks. Identify skill gaps and implement learning and development (L&D;) programs to foster continuous growth.
- Develop succession plans for critical roles within the India entity.
What Were Looking For Education: MBA / PGDM in HR or equivalent preferred.
Experience: 10-12 years of HR experience, with demonstrated leadership skills, including solid HR business partnering experience in a fast-paced organisation. Experience in a GCC, shared services or multinational environment is strongly preferred.
Prior people management or project leadership experience is an advantage.
Must-Have Skills
- Strong HR business partnering experience across employee relations, performance, reward, payroll coordination and employee lifecycle processes
- Good understanding of India employment practices, statutory requirements and HR compliance, Indian labour laws, statutory compliances, and POSH guidelines.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence leaders and build credibility across teams
- Ability to work effectively with global stakeholders across regions and time zones
- Proficiency in HR systems and platforms such as HiBob, Workday, SAP, Cascade or similar
• Experience improving HR processes, standardisation, automation or service delivery
- Strong communication skills, sound judgement and a practical, solutions-focused approach
- Ability to use data and insight to support recommendations and improve people outcomes
- Proven experience in efficiently scaling up a small organisation (e.g., growing a team from 10 to 200+ employees) is desirable.
- Agility and willingness to be hands-on in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment.
