Role Purpose The AVP HR Operations will lead the complete HR operations function, owning the hire-to-retire lifecycle. While salary negotiation, offer roll-out and offer release are the core strengths we are looking for; the role carries broad operational leadership across onboarding, records, compliance and exit management. The incumbent will lead and develop a team, partner closely with business and HR stakeholders, and bring maturity, governance discipline and a robust candidate-and-employee experience mindset to the role.

Core Focus Areas





- Salary Negotiation – Lead compensation discussions, manage candidate expectations, and close offers within approved bands while protecting internal parity and cost discipline.
- Offer Roll-out & Release – Own offer approvals, offer letter generation, release and acceptance tracking with speed and accuracy.
- Hire-to-Retire Operations – Drive the complete post-selection to onboarding journey — documentation, background verification, pre-boarding and Day-1 readiness.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and mentor the HR Operations team, setting standards, building capability and driving a high-performance, service-oriented culture.
- Own the end-to-end offer process — salary negotiation, fitment, offer drafting, approvals, release and acceptance closure — apply compensation for benchmarking, internal equity and budget governance.
- Provide follow-through with candidates, support hiring managers, and report recruiting and operations statistics to leadership.
- Lead employee on-boarding activities and HR induction, and support managers integrating new hires seamlessly into the organization.
- Oversee employee benefit programs and the maintenance of related systems and HR platforms.




- Ensure accurate and compliant maintenance of all employee records and HR documentation.
- Coordinate and ensure completion of employee exit interviews and drive insights into retention and process improvement.
- Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws, statutory obligations, and internal governance requirements.
- Drive the automation and transformation of HRMS tools and platforms — leading system enhancements, digitization of HR workflows and adoption of technology across offer, onboarding, payroll and records processes.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition, Compensation & Benefits, Payroll and business stakeholders to deliver a seamless hire-to-retire experience.
- Undertake other responsibilities and strategic HR operations initiatives as assigned by leadership.

Candidate Profile

- Experience – 10–14 years of progressive HR experience with strong, hands-on ownership of offer management, salary negotiation and HR operations.
- Industry Background – Preference for candidates from reputed large GCC / shared-services, BFSI or technology organisations.
- Core Strength – Exceptional negotiation and influencing skills are non-negotiable; strong ownership of the offer and release stage is essential.
- Education – master’s degree / MBA in Human Resources or a related discipline.
- Location – Based in Chennai (within a 20–22 km radius of Perungudi)
