Job Responsibilities
- Review and analyze patient medical records for coding accuracy.
- Assign appropriate CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10-CM, APC, DRG, and ASA codes.
- Ensure compliance with coding guidelines, payer regulations, and industry standards.
- Identify and resolve incomplete or missing clinical documentation.
- Conduct coding quality audits and chart reviews.
- Collaborate with physicians and internal stakeholders to resolve coding and billing discrepancies.
- Maintain consistency between physician documentation and assigned codes.
- Stay updated on coding changes, regulatory requirements, and payer guidelines.
- Ensure confidentiality, data security,



and HIPAA compliance.

Required Qualifications
- Graduate in Life Sciences or equivalent qualification.
- Anatomy and Physiology as a major subject preferred.
- 2–4 years of experience in EM OP Medical Coding.
- Active AAPC or AHIMA certification preferred.

Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM coding.
- Understanding of APC, DRG, and ASA coding methodologies.
- Experience in coding audits and compliance reviews.
- Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
