Education & Background

•Diploma or above; Refrigeration & Air-Conditioning, Chemical Machinery, Thermal Engineering, or Automation preferred.

•Should know refrigeration systems (compression, condensation, throttling, evaporation), pressure vessels, and refrigerants (fluorocarbons, ammonia); combined refrigeration operation and safety-management background preferred.

Experience

•5+ years in refrigeration-system operation/management; solid on chiller startup/shutdown, load control,



and routine inspection.

•Has led refrigeration energy-saving retrofits, pressure-vessel safety upgrades, and emergency fault repairs.

•Full-lifecycle refrigeration management and team build-out; has driven zero-incident, low-energy programs.

•Chemicals, food, pharma, or cold-chain background preferred; knows high-pressure (pressure vessels), low-temperature (below -20°C), and refrigerant-leak (flammable/toxic) operating pain points.

Core Competencies

•Safe operation: independently diagnoses compressor faults, refrigerant leaks, and pressure-vessel overpressure; plans compressor maintenance, leak emergency response, and pressure-vessel inspections for zero-incident, reliable operation.

•Shift management: schedules and trains operators/mechanics; sets operating plans and KPIs to hit fault response ≤ X hours and energy reduction ≥ Y%.

•Safety & emergency: knows refrigeration safety (periodic pressure-vessel inspection, refrigerant-leak protection, confined-space entry); responds to refrigerant leaks, compressor explosions, and frostbite injuries.

•Cost control: builds section budgets (refrigerant purchase, spares, outsourced repairs); uses system energy optimization, refrigerant recovery/reuse, and domestic spares to cut refrigerant consumption and repair cost.

Skills & Certifications

•Required: refrigeration/AC operator certificate (HV/LV), pressure-vessel operator, electrician.

•Technical: chiller startup/shutdown, load control, fault diagnosis, pressure-vessel inspection; uses pressure gauges, thermometers, refrigerant-recovery machines, and gas detectors.

•Industry knowledge: fluorocarbon/ammonia refrigeration, pressure vessels, refrigerant properties (R22, R134a, liquid ammonia) — structure, principles, and maintenance.

Nice to Have

•Mid/Senior Refrigeration Engineer or safety-officer (C) certificate.

•Led refrigeration energy-saving retrofits, pressure-vessel safety upgrades, or zero-incident programs.

•Knows refrigeration systems and operating norms in chemicals/food.
