Position: Laboratory Head (Civil)

Experience: 12–20 Years

Role Summary

Civil Lab Head will be responsible for the overall technical, commercial, operational, and quality management of a multidisciplinary NABL-accredited testing laboratory. The role requires robust leadership in ISO/IEC 17025 compliance, laboratory operations, technical governance, team management, and continuous improvement of testing/analytical capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Laboratory Operations & Leadership

- Lead overall laboratory operations, ensuring efficient workflow, quality, safety, and timely delivery of testing services.
- Supervise multidisciplinary testing/Analytical functions including:
- Construction Materials
- Geotechnical Engineering
- Structural Engineering Materials
- Supervise Third Party Inspection related work in Civil
- Building Materials, etc
- Manage manpower planning, resource allocation, equipment utilization, and infrastructure requirements.
- Coordinate with Marketing Team for development of business in related field.

NABL & Quality Management

- Ensure compliance with NABL accreditation requirements , ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standards and other related audit compliances.
- Lead NABL assessments, surveillance audits, reassessments, and scope extensions.
- Ensure implementation of QMS, SOPs, test methods, calibration systems, internal audits, CAPA,



and continual improvement initiatives.
- Review and authorize technical documents, test reports, and quality records.
- Initiate & Supervise research studies in related areas.

Technical Leadership

- Provide technical guidance for research studies / testing activities and ensure accuracy, reliability, and traceability of test results.
- Oversee method validation, measurement uncertainty, proficiency testing (PT), and inter-laboratory comparison (ILC) activities.
- Support new test method development and laboratory capability enhancement.

Team & Stakeholder Management

- Lead and mentor technical teams including Technical Managers, Scientists, Engineers, and Laboratory Personnel.
- Ensure competency assessment, training, and authorization of laboratory staff.
- Manage key customer interactions, technical discussions, and resolution of critical issues.
- Support business growth through expansion of testing services and customer engagement.

Qualification & Experience

- Bachelor's/master’s degree in engineering (Civil). Ph.D. may have an advantage.
- 12–20 years of experience in NABL accredited testing laboratories/ Research Organisations.
- Experience handling multidisciplinary testing operations and leading large technical teams.

Location: Delhi Expected CTC: 15-25 lacs P.A
