About the Role

We are looking for a dynamic and strategic Head of HR to build and lead the people function at EDMO. As we scale rapidly at the intersection of AI and higher education, this role is critical in shaping our culture, attracting top talent, and building the organisational capabilities needed to support our growth. The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of HR experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role, and a proven ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.

What You'll Do

- Own and drive the end-to-end HR strategy encompassing talent acquisition, performance management, learning & development, compensation, and employee engagement.
- Partner closely with the CEO and senior leadership to align people strategy with business goals and organisational priorities.
- Build and scale HR processes, policies, and frameworks, ensuring compliance with Indian and US labour laws and employment regulations.




- Lead talent acquisition efforts to attract and retain high-calibre professionals across product, engineering, AI, and business functions.
- Design and implement performance management systems, career development frameworks, and succession planning processes.
- Champion a robust, inclusive, and high-performance culture that reflects EDMO's values.
- Drive employee engagement initiatives, pulse surveys, and retention strategies to maintain a motivated and committed workforce.
- Oversee onboarding, offboarding, and the overall employee lifecycle experience to ensure consistency and quality at every touchpoint.
- Manage HR operations including payroll coordination, HRIS systems, and HR analytics to enable data-driven people decisions.
- Act as a trusted advisor and coach to managers and leaders on people matters, conflict resolution, and organisational development.

What We're Looking For

- 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or Head of HR role.
- Prior experience in a startup, SaaS, or technology company is strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Indian labour laws, HR compliance, and statutory requirements.
- Proven ability to build HR functions and processes in a scaling organisation.
- Experience across the full HR spectrum — talent acquisition, L&D;, compensation & benefits, performance management, and HR operations.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Data-driven mindset with experience leveraging HR analytics and HRIS platforms.
- High degree of discretion, integrity, and emotional intelligence.

- Experience supporting a globally distributed or cross-border team (India + US).
- Exposure to AI, EdTech, or high-growth B2B SaaS environments.
- Familiarity with modern HR tools such as Keka, GreytHR, or equivalent.
