Role Description The Hadoop Subject Matter Expert and Developer is a full-time, on-site role based in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. This role involves designing, developing, and optimizing Hadoop-based data solutions, including data ingestion, storage, and processing pipelines.

The individual will collaborate with architects, data engineers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable big data architectures, troubleshoot performance issues, and implement best practices for data security and reliability. Daily responsibilities include writing efficient code,



conducting code reviews, monitoring cluster health, preparing technical documentation, and supporting production deployments. The role also includes mentoring team members on Hadoop ecosystem tools and contributing to continuous improvement of data engineering standards and processes.

? Key Requirements:

✅ 10+ years of total IT experience

✅ 5+ years of relevant Hadoop experience

✅ Minimum 6 months of hands-on HBase experience

✅ Robust knowledge of HDFS, HBase, Spark, Hive and Solr

✅ Experience in data integration and database migration

✅ Unstructured data processing: documents, images and text

✅ Hadoop data-ingestion pipeline development

✅ Programming experience in Java, Python, Scala or Bash

✅ AWS S3 and/or Azure Blob Storage experience

✅ Strong customer communication skills

⭐ Good to Have:

• AWS Glue and Athena

• Teradata Vantage SQL
