Role Description The Godownkeeper will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the godown, including receiving, storing, and issuing goods, and maintaining accurate stock records. Key tasks include supervising loading and unloading activities, ensuring proper stacking and labeling of materials, and regularly verifying physical stock against records.

The role also involves monitoring cleanliness and safety in the godown, coordinating with procurement and sales teams on stock requirements, and preparing basic reports on inventory movement and discrepancies. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Purnia,



and the Godownkeeper is expected to work closely with other staff to ensure smooth and efficient warehouse operations.

Qualifications

- Ability to manage stock records, maintain registers, and perform basic inventory reconciliation.
- Experience in warehouse or godown operations, including receiving, storing, and dispatching goods.
- Basic mathematical and computer skills (e.g., spreadsheets or inventory software) to track quantities and prepare simple reports.
- Knowledge of safe material handling practices and ability to maintain a clean, orderly, and secure godown environment.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and integrity in handling goods and documentation.
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with transporters, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Prior experience in a trading, distribution, or FMCG environment is an advantage.
- Minimum educational qualification of high school completion; additional vocational training in warehouse operations is beneficial.
