About the Role
Spartek Group is looking for an experienced and commercially driven General
Manager – Finance & Operations to oversee and improve the financial and operational performance of the Group's multiple product verticals and business divisions.
This is a business-oriented leadership role combining Finance, Operations,
Supply Chain, Logistics, Procurement, Inventory and P&L; management.
The individual will work closely with the Managing Director and business heads to ensure that the Group's various divisions operate with strong financial discipline, efficient supply chains, effective cost control and clear accountability for profitability.
The ideal candidate should be someone who understands the complete business cycle — procurement → production → inventory → logistics → sales
→ collections → working capital → P&L.;
The role requires a hands-on manager who can analyse numbers, identify operational problems and, importantly, drive the corrective action required to improve business performance.

Key Responsibilities
- Finance & P&L; Management
- Take responsibility for monitoring the financial performance of all Group divisions and product verticals.
- Review division-wise, product-wise and business-wise P&L.;
- Analyse revenue, gross margins, contribution margins, operating expenses, EBITDA and PBT.
- Identify margin leakages, cost overruns and areas of financial inefficiency.
- Work with business heads to improve profitability.
- Monitor actual performance against budgets, forecasts and business targets.
- Prepare management-level financial MIS and performance dashboards.
- Provide the Managing Director with clear financial insights and recommendations for corrective action.
- Support annual budgeting, forecasting and business planning.
- Working Capital & Cash Flow
- Monitor the complete working-capital cycle of the Group.
- Drive improvement in receivables, inventory and payables management.
- Monitor customer outstanding and collection efficiency.
- Work with sales teams to improve credit discipline and collections.
- Identify cash trapped in slow-moving inventory and overdue receivables.
- Improve cash conversion and liquidity across divisions.
- Coordinate with banks and financial institutions on working-capital requirements.
- Supply Chain & Procurement
- Oversee the Group's supply-chain activities across different product verticals.
- Monitor procurement planning, supplier performance, pricing and availability.
- Negotiate and identify opportunities for better procurement costs and commercial terms.
- Develop alternate vendor and sourcing strategies.
- Monitor raw-material and finished-goods inventory.

- Establish appropriate inventory norms and reorder levels.
- Reduce excess, slow-moving and obsolete inventory.
- Align procurement and production with actual sales demand.
- Logistics & Distribution
- Oversee logistics and distribution activities across the Group.
- Monitor transportation costs and delivery performance.
- Optimise freight arrangements, logistics vendors and transportation routes.
- Identify opportunities to reduce logistics costs without compromising customer service.
- Monitor warehouse utilisation,
dispatch efficiency, damages, returns and delivery timelines.
- Evaluate opportunities for centralised logistics and distribution wherever commercially viable.
- Inventory & Operational Efficiency
- Establish effective inventory-control mechanisms across all divisions.
- Monitor raw materials, WIP and finished goods.
- Track inventory ageing and inventory turnover.
- Identify products and SKUs with poor contribution or excessive inventory.
- Work with operations and sales teams to improve inventory productivity.
- Identify operational bottlenecks and implement corrective measures.
- Develop and monitor operational KPIs for different business units.
- Group Business Performance The incumbent will be responsible for establishing a common performance-
management framework across the Group.

- Division-wise profitability The candidate will conduct regular performance reviews with respective business heads and ensure that identified actions are implemented.
- Cross-Functional Coordination The role will act as the connecting point between:

Operations The candidate should ensure that these functions work toward common business objectives rather than operating independently.

- Sales growth should be supported by appropriate production and inventory planning.
- Procurement decisions should consider both price and working-capital impact.

- Logistics decisions should consider both service levels and P&L.;
- Credit decisions should balance sales growth with collection risk.
- Inventory decisions should balance availability with cash-flow requirements.
- MIS & Management Reporting
- Develop standardised management reports across all divisions.
- Improve the accuracy and timeliness of MIS.
- Establish dashboards for financial and operational performance.
- Provide management with actionable insights rather than only historical reports.
- Ensure that significant deviations from targets are identified early.
- Support ERP, automation and process-improvement initiatives.

- Commercial & Strategic Support
- Support the Managing Director in evaluating recent products, markets and business opportunities.
- Analyse financial viability of new projects and product initiatives.
- Support pricing and margin decisions.
- Evaluate product and customer profitability.
- Participate in negotiations with major suppliers, customers, logistics partners and financial institutions.
- Identify opportunities for Group-level cost savings and operating leverage.
- Provide financial and operational inputs for strategic business decisions.
- Team Leadership
- Lead and coordinate finance, commercial, procurement, logistics and operational teams as applicable.
- Establish clear KPIs and accountability mechanisms.
- Improve coordination between different departments and business divisions.
- Mentor functional managers and develop a performance-oriented culture.
- Ensure timely escalation of operational and financial issues to senior management.
Candidate Profile
Experience
- 10–15 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in a senior Finance, Commercial, Operations, Supply Chain or
Business Management role.
- Strong exposure to P&L; management and business financials is essential.
- Experience managing multiple product categories, business units,
factories, warehouses or distribution operations will be preferred.
- Strong understanding of logistics, procurement, supply chain and inventory management.
- Experience in working-capital and cash-flow management.

- Experience working directly with senior management / promoters / MD
/ CEO will be an advantage.

What We Are Looking For
We are not looking for a traditional Accounts Head whose primary responsibility is accounting, audit, GST, TDS and statutory compliance.
We are looking for a business manager with strong financial understanding who can look at the entire Group and identify:
- Where are we making money?
- Where are we losing money?
- Which products/divisions have the best margins?
- Where is working capital blocked?
- How can procurement costs be reduced?
- How can logistics costs be optimised?
- Which inventory should be reduced?
- Which customers/products are commercially attractive?
- How can EBITDA and PBT be improved?
- What operational changes are required to improve cash flow?
The candidate should be comfortable moving between financial statements,
factories, warehouses, suppliers, logistics operations and business reviews.

Compensation
Around ₹25 LPA, depending on the candidate's experience, capability and overall suitability.
The compensation structure may be designed to include a performance-linked component, with additional upside for measurable improvements in business profitability, cash flow, cost optimisation and overall Group performance.
