The Global Engagement Coordinator will support the University's internationalization strategy by coordinating international partnerships, student and faculty mobility, international collaborations, exchange programmes, and engagement with overseas universities and institutions.
The role will serve as a key point of coordination between the University, international partner institutions, students, faculty, and external stakeholders.
Role & responsibilities
International Partnerships
- Coordinate communication and engagement with international universities and partner institutions.
- Support the development, implementation, renewal, and monitoring of MoUs and international agreements.
- Maintain records of international partnerships, contacts, agreements, and engagement activities.
- Identify and research potential international partners aligned with the University's strategic priorities.
Student & Faculty Mobility
- Coordinate inbound and outbound student exchange and study-abroad programmes.
- Support student applications, nominations, documentation, admissions, credit transfer, and related processes.
- Coordinate faculty and staff mobility, visiting faculty programmes, guest lectures, and international academic engagements.
- Conduct orientation and pre-departure sessions for participating students.
International Events & Delegations
- Coordinate international conferences, seminars, webinars, cultural programmes, and global engagement activities.
- Support visits by international delegations, university representatives, and other stakeholders.
- Prepare itineraries, briefing documents, presentations, meeting agendas, and correspondence.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as a key point of contact for international partners, students, faculty, and internal departments.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with international stakeholders.
- Ensure timely communication, follow-up,
and resolution of operational issues.
Administration & Reporting
- Maintain accurate databases and documentation relating to international activities.
- Prepare periodic reports, presentations, dashboards, and updates for University leadership.
- Track international engagement activities and outcomes.
- Coordinate internal approvals and ensure compliance with University policies and procedures.
Preferred candidate profile
Experience
- 3 to 5 years of relevant professional experience in a university, higher education institution, international office, education organization, or a similar environment.
- Demonstrated experience in international partnerships, student exchange/mobility, global engagement, international programme coordination, or stakeholder management.
- Experience coordinating with international universities, academic institutions, government/diplomatic organisations, or other global stakeholders will be preferred.
- Experience in organising international events, delegations, conferences, webinars, institutional visits, or student mobility programmes will be an advantage.
- Candidates with solid relevant experience and a Master's degree may be considered for the role even if their experience is at the lower end of the stated range.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in International Relations, International Education, Business Administration, Management, Communications, Education, or a related discipline.
- Master's degree in International Relations, International Education, Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Additional qualifications or certifications in international education, student mobility, partnership management, or higher education administration will be an advantage.
- Strong proficiency in written and spoken English is essential.
- Knowledge of an additional foreign language will be an advantage.
