Position Overview:

We invite applications for Professors, Associate Professors, Assistant Professors, and Senior Residents in General Medicine.

The role involves comprehensive patient care, clinical diagnosis and management, academic teaching, supervision of residents and students, participation in emergency and critical care services, research activities, and departmental academic development.

Candidates with strong clinical expertise, academic credentials, teaching aptitude, and an interest in research and medical education are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage OPD, IPD, emergency, and critically ill medical patients.
- Perform comprehensive clinical evaluation, diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up of patients.




- Manage a broad range of acute and chronic medical conditions.
- Provide appropriate care for patients with cardiovascular, respiratory, gastrointestinal, neurological, endocrine, renal, infectious, rheumatological, hematological, and other systemic disorders.
- Evaluate and manage patients presenting with medical emergencies and acute illnesses.
- Provide appropriate supervision and management of critically ill patients in coordination with critical-care teams.
- Participate in emergency duties, on-call services, and management of acute medical cases as per institutional requirements.
- Coordinate with super-specialty departments for patients requiring specialized medical intervention.
- Provide comprehensive inpatient care and ensure appropriate documentation of clinical findings, treatment plans, and progress.
- Train and mentor MBBS students, interns, and postgraduate residents.
- Conduct lectures, bedside teaching, case presentations, seminars, journal clubs, tutorials, and clinical discussions.
- Provide students and residents with appropriate exposure to clinical examination, diagnosis, differential diagnosis, investigation interpretation, and patient management.
- Supervise residents in wards, emergency services, intensive care areas, and outpatient services.
- Participate in MBBS curriculum planning, academic schedules, and departmental teaching programs.
- Conduct internal assessments, clinical examinations, viva-voce, and other academic evaluations as assigned.
- Participate in departmental meetings, CME programs, workshops, conferences, seminars, and continuing medical education activities.
- Participate in research projects, clinical studies,



publications, presentations, and academic collaborations.
- Encourage and guide students and residents in research-oriented academic activities.
- Collaborate with surgical, diagnostic, critical-care, and super-specialty departments for multidisciplinary patient management.
- Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and clinical meetings.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical records and ensure appropriate patient documentation.
- Contribute to quality improvement, patient-safety initiatives, and evidence-based clinical practices.
- Ensure compliance with applicable NMC guidelines, institutional protocols, patient-safety standards, ethical requirements, and academic policies.
- Contribute to the development and academic growth of the Department of General Medicine.

Eligibility:

Qualification:

- MBBS from a recognized medical institution.
- MD/DNB in General Medicine / Medicine from a recognized institution for faculty positions.
- Postgraduate qualification in General Medicine for Senior Resident positions, as applicable.

Experience:

- Experience as per applicable NMC norms for Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor positions.
- Postgraduate candidates fulfilling the applicable eligibility criteria may be considered for Senior Resident positions.

Preferred Skills:

- Strong clinical knowledge and expertise in General Medicine / Internal Medicine.
- Good diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills.
- Experience in undergraduate and postgraduate medical teaching.
- Strong knowledge of management of acute and chronic medical conditions.
- Experience in emergency medicine and critical-care patient management will be an advantage.
- Good interpretation of laboratory investigations, ECG, imaging, and other diagnostic reports.
- Good patient-management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Solid teaching and mentoring aptitude
