Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced and technically strong General Manager Technical to lead and oversee technical functions across our hydro power and civil infrastructure projects. The candidate will be responsible for technical planning, engineering coordination, project execution support, design review, quality control, and resolution of technical issues at project sites.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage overall technical and engineering activities for ongoing projects.

Review and approve technical drawings, designs, method statements, specifications, and technical submissions.

¢ Coordinate with consultants, clients, design teams, and project/site teams.

¢ Provide technical guidance to Project Managers, Construction Managers, and site engineers.

¢ Monitor project execution for compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and contractual requirements.

¢ Identify and resolve technical issues arising during project execution.

¢ Review BOQ, quantity calculations, technical specifications, and scope of work.

¢ Support project teams in planning, execution, and resource optimization.

¢ Coordinate with planning, billing, estimation, tender, procurement, and commercial teams.

¢ Review technical aspects of tenders, bids, and new project proposals.

¢ Assist in technical offers, methodologies, project schedules, and cost estimates.

¢ Ensure compliance with relevant IS Codes, IRC/MORTH standards, project specifications, and applicable technical standards.

¢ Monitor quality standards and coordinate with QA/QC teams.

¢ Conduct technical audits and site inspections as required.

¢ Evaluate construction methodologies and recommend improvements in productivity, safety, quality, and cost efficiency.





¢ Coordinate with equipment and machinery teams regarding technical requirements and deployment.

¢ Review project progress and provide technical inputs to senior management.

¢ Maintain technical documentation, drawings, revisions, approvals, and site instructions.

¢ Provide technical support during client/consultant meetings and project reviews.

¢ Mentor and develop the technical team.

Qualification

¢ B.Tech / B.E. in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.

¢ M.Tech / Post Graduation in Civil Engineering or relevant specialization will be an advantage.

Experience & Skills

¢ 10+ years of relevant experience in civil infrastructure, hydro, or construction projects.

¢ Strong knowledge of construction methodologies and engineering practices.

¢ Excellent understanding of drawings, specifications, BOQ, and technical documentation.

¢ Strong leadership and team-management skills.

¢ Valuable analytical and problem-solving ability.

¢ Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate with various departments.

¢ Strong communication and client/consultant coordination skills.

¢ Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and relevant project management/engineering software.

¢ Willingness to travel and visit project sites as required.
