We are looking for an experienced and highly capable General Manager – Construction, to oversee and manage the complete execution of high-end residential and commercial building projects. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in the construction industry and the ability to independently manage projects from initial planning and commencement through construction, finishing, and final handover.

The General

Manager role is a full-time, on-site position based in Kochi.

The General

Manager will oversee day-to-day operations across multiple construction projects, including planning, execution, and monitoring of timelines, budgets, and quality standards. This role will coordinate with project managers, site engineers, vendors, and clients to ensure smooth project delivery and adherence to safety and regulatory requirements.

The General

Manager will manage teams, drive process improvements, and support strategic initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction and business performance. The role also includes reporting to senior leadership, overseeing resource allocation, and ensuring that company policies and standards are consistently applied.

Qualification





- Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience supervising multidisciplinary teams in construction or real estate.
- Proficiency in project planning, scheduling, and execution, including monitoring budgets, timelines, and quality control.
- Ability to manage client relationships, handle negotiations with vendors and contractors, and maintain high standards of customer service.
- Knowledge of construction processes, building regulations, safety standards, and local compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to work independently in office in Kochi.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced qualifications are an advantage.
- Relevant experience in managing residential and commercial building projects; prior experience in a similar leadership role is preferred.

· Take overall responsibility for construction projects from start to completion and handover. · Plan, coordinate, and monitor all stages of building construction and finishing works.

· Manage project timelines, budgets, manpower, materials, and resources effectively.

· Coordinate with architects, structural consultants, engineers, contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and clients.





· Supervise site teams and ensure work is progressing according to approved drawings, specifications, and schedules.

· Monitor the quality of construction, finishing, and interior works.

· Identify project delays, technical issues, and cost overruns and take corrective action.

· Handle procurement, material planning, contractor coordination, and vendor negotiations.

· Review project estimates, BOQs, budgets, and expenses.

· Ensure compliance with safety standards, statutory requirements, and construction regulations.

· Conduct regular site inspections and project review meetings.

· Manage client requirements and ensure timely communication and resolution of issues.

· Coordinate between different departments and ensure smooth project execution.

· Ensure projects are completed within the approved budget, timeline, and required quality standards.

· Take responsibility for final finishing, snag rectification, documentation, and project handover.

· Provide regular reports and updates to the Managing Director/Management.

· Candidate Profile

· 15+ years of relevant experience in the construction/building industry preferred.

· Strong experience in high-end residential/commercial building projects. Should have successfully handled projects from inception to completion.

· Strong knowledge of construction, finishing, project planning, budgeting, and site management.

· Proven ability to manage multiple teams, contractors, and projects simultaneously.

· Excellent leadership, decision-making, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

· Should be capable of independently taking ownership of overall project operations.

· Qualification in Civil Engineering / Construction Management / related field preferred.
