Description

Sapiens is hiring a Lead Gen AI (Fullstack) Developer for a greenfield Generative AI platform. This is a high-ownership, hands-on role focused on shipping production AI features end to end.

Role: Lead - GenAI Developer

Location: Bangalore, India | Fulltime, Hybrid

Experience

- 5+ years of professional software development experience
- 1+ year of substantial hands-on experience building with LLMs
- Production experience with Python for AI workloads
- Experience building agentic architectures with multi-step LLM workflows, reasoning loops, and tool orchestration
- Solid Node.js/TypeScript backend skills
- Use of AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot in daily workflow
- Self-directed working style with comfort handling ambiguity and making decisions independently

Responsibilities

- Design and build end-to-end AI-powered features across the full stack
- Architect and implement reliable multi-step LLM workflows and tool orchestration systems
- Develop and maintain Python-based agentic workloads integrated with Node.js/TypeScript microservices and React frontend components
- Collaborate with product and engineering leadership on platform architecture, technical strategy, and delivery roadmaps
- Ensure quality, performance, and reliability of AI systems
- Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering practices, tooling, and standards
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and cross-functional collaboration




- Work on a greenfield platform within a small, high-ownership engineering team

- Build intelligent chatbots
- Build AI-driven product capabilities across domains
- Operate with speed and quality while working through ambiguity
- Ship production AI features with direct impact on product direction

Nice To Have

- Experience with LangChain or LangGraph or similar agentic frameworks
- Hands-on experience with vector databases, embeddings, and RAG in real production applications
- Experience building evaluation frameworks for AI systems to measure reliability, accuracy, and performance
- Familiarity with MCP (Model Context Protocol) and emerging agent standards
