Role Overview

LTM is looking for an experienced GCP Data Technical Architect to design, build, and lead enterprise-grade data solutions on Google Cloud. The role requires a strong combination of enterprise data architecture, hands-on engineering, and customer-facing consulting .

The successful candidate will independently engage with CIOs, CTOs, CDOs, enterprise architects, and engineering leaders to shape data transformation programs, define target-state architectures, and convert business requirements into scalable technical solutions. The architect must be equally comfortable leading a customer whiteboarding session, developing a solution architecture, guiding engineering teams, and defending technical decisions during customer reviews.

This is not a pure enterprise architecture, data engineering, or pre-sales position. We are looking for a hands-on GCP Data Architect with strong customer leadership capabilities .

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the architecture and design of enterprise-scale data platforms on Google Cloud.
- Define target-state architectures for cloud data modernization, migration, lakehouse, data warehouse, and data engineering programs.
- Design batch and real-time data processing solutions using Google Cloud services.
- Translate business, data, security, performance, and regulatory requirements into implementable technical architectures.
- Provide hands-on technical leadership across platform design, engineering, integration, deployment, and optimization.
- Develop solution blueprints, architecture patterns, reference architectures, technical specifications, and implementation roadmaps.
- Lead customer architecture workshops and whiteboarding sessions with CIO, CTO, CDO, and senior engineering stakeholders.
- Participate in RFx responses, technical proposals, solution presentations, estimations, and customer orals.
- Defend proposed architectures and technology choices during customer and architecture review boards.
- Guide engineering teams on design standards, development practices, performance optimization,



and implementation quality.
- Design solutions for data governance, security, access control, metadata management, lineage, and data quality.
- Evaluate platform performance, scalability, reliability, and cost, and recommend appropriate optimization measures.
- Support modernization and migration from legacy data platforms to Google Cloud.
- Apply relevant industry-domain knowledge while shaping data architectures and transformation solutions.
- Work across customer, engineering, product, security, infrastructure, and program teams to drive successful delivery.

Hands-on Data Engineering
- Demonstrated experience designing and building production-grade data platforms.
- Strong understanding of batch and streaming data architectures.
- Experience with data ingestion, transformation, orchestration, storage, and consumption patterns.
- Ability to perform or guide performance tuning and cost optimization.
- Practical experience resolving complex architecture and engineering challenges.

Enterprise Data Architecture
- Strong knowledge of enterprise data warehouses and lakehouse architectures.
- Experience in data platform modernization and cloud migration.
- Understanding of data governance, metadata, lineage, security, and data quality.
- Ability to define scalable, secure, resilient, and maintainable data architectures.

Customer-Facing Consulting
- Experience independently engaging with CIO, CTO, CDO, and senior customer stakeholders.
- Ability to facilitate discovery sessions, architecture workshops, and technical design discussions.
- Experience contributing to RFx responses, technical proposals,



and customer presentations.
- Strong written, verbal, presentation, and whiteboarding skills.
- Mandatory experience or strong knowledge in at least one relevant industry domain.

Technical Foundation Candidates should possess strong working knowledge of:
- SQL and Python
- Apache Spark
- ETL and ELT design patterns
- CI/CD practices
- Kubernetes
- Cloud security, access control, and deployment principles

Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with Vertex AI, Gemini or Generative AI, BigQuery ML, and Looker.
- Understanding of how AI and machine learning capabilities can be integrated with enterprise data platforms.
- Experience with modern data technologies such as Databricks, Snowflake, Kafka, Apache Iceberg, or data mesh architectures.
- Exposure to hybrid-cloud or multi-cloud data ecosystems.
- Experience developing reusable architecture patterns, accelerators, or solution frameworks.
- Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect or Professional Data Engineer certification. Certification is preferred but not mandatory.

Ideal Candidate Profile The ideal candidate brings 10 to 20+ years of overall technology experience , with significant experience in Google Cloud and enterprise data architecture.

What We Are Not Looking For This role is not suitable for candidates whose experience is limited exclusively to:
- Enterprise architecture without hands-on engineering.
- Data engineering without architecture and customer-facing leadership.
- Pre-sales without ownership of technical design or delivery.
