Role Description The Furniture Designer will work on-site in Manesar in a full-time capacity, collaborating with production and design teams to create functional, aesthetically pleasing furniture solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include conceptualizing and sketching furniture designs, developing detailed drawings and specifications, and selecting materials and finishes that align with project requirements. The role involves working closely with carpenters and fabricators to ensure feasibility, quality, and timely execution of designs.
The Furniture
Designer will also participate in client discussions,
understand space and usage needs, and adapt designs for bespoke and modular systems such as wardrobes, kitchens, and entertainment units. Additional tasks may include creating 3D models, maintaining design documentation, and supporting continuous improvement in design and production processes.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated skills in Furniture Design and Product Design for bespoke and modular furniture solutions.
- Practical knowledge of Carpentry and Furniture construction methods to ensure design feasibility and durability.
- Experience or familiarity with Interior Design principles for space planning, ergonomics, and aesthetic alignment.
- Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, SolidWorks, or similar) for 2D drawings and 3D modeling.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to interpret technical drawings, and capacity to work closely with manufacturing teams on-site.
- Good communication and collaboration skills to interact with clients, supervisors, and workshop staff.
- Relevant diploma or degree in Furniture Design, Product Design, Industrial Design, Interior Design, or a related field.
- Experience in a furniture manufacturing or workshop environment is an advantage.
