Role Description The Fundraising Manager role at BESCAAF Foundation is a full time hybrid position based in Shimla, with flexibility for some work from home.

The Fundraising

Manager will develop and implement fundraising strategies, including annual giving campaigns and initiatives to engage and retain individual, corporate, and institutional supporters. This role will manage relationships with major donors, coordinate outreach to philanthropic partners and charities, and prepare compelling proposals, reports, and presentations. Day-to-day responsibilities include researching funding opportunities, organizing fundraising events, tracking performance against targets,



and collaborating with program and communications teams to align messages with BESCAAF’s mission.

The Fundraising

Manager will also maintain accurate donor records, ensure compliance with relevant regulations, and support continuous improvement of fundraising processes.

Qualifications

- Experience cultivating and managing relationships with major donors, including stewardship and prospect research.
- Solid communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly in written and verbal formats.
- Knowledge of philanthropy trends and practices, and an understanding of the nonprofit and charitable sector.
- Background in charities or social impact organizations, with experience in annual giving campaigns or similar fundraising programs.
- Demonstrated ability to set and achieve fundraising targets, analyze data, and use CRM or donor management systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Nonprofit Management, Communications, Business, Social Sciences, or equivalent experience.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple priorities.
