Role Description The Freelance Video Editor role at Signal House is a full-time remote position focused on crafting high-impact video content for brands and creators. Day-to-day responsibilities include editing raw footage into compelling narratives, refining pacing and structure, applying color grading, and integrating motion graphics or visual elements to enhance storytelling.

The role involves collaborating with creative directors and strategists to align edits with campaign goals, optimizing content for various social and digital platforms, and delivering consistent, on-brand videos within agreed timelines.

Editor is expected to manage their own schedule, maintain transparent communication with project stakeholders, and continuously seek ways to improve content performance and audience engagement.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in Video Editing and Video Production for social, digital, and short-form content.
- Proficiency in Video Color Grading to achieve consistent, polished visual styles.
- Experience with Motion Graphics and Graphics to enhance storytelling and viewer engagement.
- Advanced knowledge of industry-standard editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, After Effects).
- Ability to interpret creative briefs, follow brand guidelines, and deliver content optimized for multiple platforms.
- Proven portfolio showcasing video work for brands, creators, or content-driven campaigns.
- Strong time management skills, reliability in meeting deadlines, and comfort working remotely with distributed teams.
- Familiarity with social media trends, vertical and short-form formats, and performance-driven content strategies is beneficial.
