Role Description The Finance Executive - Freight Forwarding role is a full-time, on-site position based in Kolkata. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day finance activities related to freight forwarding operations, including preparing and reviewing financial statements, monitoring accounts, and supporting monthly and annual closing.
The Finance
Executive will handle GST calculations and compliance, coordinate with internal teams and external partners for accurate billing and documentation, and support financial reporting and analysis for operational and management decision-making. The role also includes maintaining financial records, reconciling accounts, identifying discrepancies, and contributing to process improvements within the finance function.
- Strong foundation in Finance with the ability to interpret and work with Financial Statements.
- Experience in Financial Reporting,
including periodic management reports and compliance-related documentation.
- Knowledge of Goods and Services Tax (GST), including filing, reconciliation, and regulatory compliance.
- Demonstrated Analytical Skills for evaluating financial data, identifying trends, and supporting business decisions.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel, including spreadsheets and basic financial models.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications are an advantage.
- Attention to detail, accuracy in documentation, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced workplace.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
