Role Description The Fabrication Production Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in the Pune Division. This position is responsible for planning and overseeing fabrication production activities for specialized bridge construction equipment, ensuring that manufacturing processes meet quality, safety, and efficiency standards. Daily tasks include developing and optimizing production plans, monitoring fabrication workflows, coordinating with design, procurement, and quality teams, and resolving technical issues that arise on the shop floor.
The role involves analyzing production data, identifying bottlenecks,
implementing corrective actions, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
The Fabrication Production
Engineer also prepares documentation, supports inspections, and maintains clear communication with internal stakeholders to meet project timelines and customer requirements.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Production Engineering, including fabrication processes, manufacturing methods, and equipment used in steel structures or bridge construction.
- Proficiency in Production Planning and scheduling to manage resources, optimize workflows, and meet delivery deadlines.
- Demonstrated Analytical Skills for interpreting production data, troubleshooting issues, and improving process efficiency.
- Experience in Quality Control, including inspection procedures, standards compliance, and documentation for fabricated components.
- Effective Communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and project stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent technical discipline).
- Experience in heavy fabrication, construction equipment, or infrastructure/bridge projects is highly beneficial.
- Familiarity with CAD tools, fabrication drawings, and basic structural concepts is an advantage.
- Ability to work safely in an in office industrial environment and adhere to relevant health and safety regulations.
