About the Role
Umbrella Aegis is looking for a proactive, detail-oriented Executive – Accounts & HR to anchor day-to-day financial operations and core human resource functions. In this blended role, you will ensure total compliance across statutory tax filings, maintain accurate financial records, and facilitate smooth employee lifecycle management from onboarding to monthly payroll execution.
Key Responsibilities
1. Accounts, Taxation & Compliance
- Execute daily accounting operations, ledger posting, and bank reconciliations in Tally.
- Manage end-to-end client invoicing, vendor billing, payment follow-ups, and accounts payable/receivable cycles.
- Handle GST compliance, including monthly calculations, input tax credit (ITC) reconciliation, and timely GSTR-1 / GSTR-3B filings.
- Manage TDS calculations, deduction verification, quarterly return prep, and Form 16A generation.
- Assist in preparing monthly balance sheets, P&L; statements, and MIS reports for management review.
- Liaise directly with external Chartered Accountants (CAs) and auditors for year-end finalization and tax audits.
2. Human Resources & People Operations
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing, including attendance tracking, leave records, expense reimbursements,
and statutory deductions (PF, ESIC, PT).
- Coordinate employee onboarding and offboarding: documentation, background verification, appointment letters, and full-and-final (F&F;) settlements.
- Serve as the first point of contact for internal HR queries, employee records maintenance, and HR policy adherence.
- Support talent acquisition by posting job openings, screening initial profiles, and scheduling candidate interviews.
- Assist in day-to-day office administration and employee engagement activities.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: B.Com / M.Com / BAF or CA-Inter completed. Additional diplomas or certifications in HR/Payroll management are a strong plus.
- Experience: 2 to 4 years of proven hands-on experience in corporate accounting, with prior direct involvement in payroll, HR operations, or office administration.
- Technical Skills: Advanced working knowledge of Tally Prime / ERP 9, MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, financial trackers), and standard payroll/HR software.
- Compliance Expertise: In-depth working knowledge of GST portals, TRACES, TDS compliances, and standard Indian labor law basics (PF, ESIC, PT).
- Soft Skills: High level of confidentiality, strong verbal and written communication skills, sharp attention to deadlines, and the organizational ability to juggle dual department priorities.
