Role Description The Event Manager – Weddings will oversee the end-to-end planning and execution of wedding events for clients in Goa, India. This full-time, on-site role involves meeting with couples and stakeholders to understand their vision, creating detailed event plans and timelines, and coordinating vendors such as venues, caterers, decorators, entertainers, and photographers.

The Event

Manager will manage budgets, contracts, and logistics, including guest management, travel coordination, and on-the-day setup and teardown. The role also requires supervising event staff, resolving last-minute issues, ensuring high service standards, and maintaining explicit communication with clients before, during, and after each event.

Qualifications

- Strong event planning and coordination skills, with experience managing weddings or large social events from concept to completion.
- Proficiency in vendor management, including sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and maintaining positive,



professional relationships.
- Demonstrated ability in on-site event operations, such as timeline management, staff supervision, and handling live-event problem solving.
- Excellent client-facing communication skills, with the ability to listen, translate client preferences into actionable plans, and manage expectations.
- Solid organizational and time-management abilities, including multitasking, prioritizing tasks, and working to strict deadlines.
- Comfort with using digital tools for scheduling, budgeting, project tracking, and communication; familiarity with event management software is an advantage.
- Knowledge of wedding trends, local Goa venues, and cultural or religious wedding customs is beneficial.
- Prior experience in hospitality, events, or related fields, ideally 3+ years in wedding or social event management.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on event schedules.
- Relevant degree or diploma in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, or a related discipline preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
