Job Role

- Position: Event Operations Manager – Field Role

- Location: Chennai

- Employment Type: Full Time

- Working Hours: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

- Extended Hours: May be required during events

- Salary: ₹18,000 – ₹23,000 per month, based on experience

- Manage and supervise on-ground event operations from setup to dismantling.

- Handle and coordinate labour teams of approximately 10–50 workers.

- Ensure all event-related work is completed on time according to the schedule.

- Coordinate with site managers, office stockists, godown stockists, vendors, and other teams.

- Handle last-minute changes, operational issues, and on-site challenges.

- Maintain discipline, productivity, and proper work allocation among labour teams.

- Monitor the quality, finishing, and proper execution of event structures.

- Take responsibility for on-site operations until the assigned work is completed.

- Ensure smooth coordination between labour, vendors, and management.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise labour teams during event setup and dismantling.

- Allocate tasks and monitor worker productivity.

- Ensure timely completion of assigned activities.

- Coordinate with vendors and site teams.

- Resolve operational problems quickly and effectively.

- Monitor event structures for quality and finishing.

- Maintain discipline and safety at the worksite.





- Handle on-site responsibilities independently.

Experience

Job Requirements

- Minimum 1 year of experience in:

- Event Operations

- Site Supervision

- Warehousing

- Construction

- Previous experience handling labour teams is mandatory.

Skills

- Robust decision-making and problem-solving abilities.

- Good labour management and team-handling skills.

- Ability to work under pressure and manage last-minute changes.

- Willingness to work long hours and remain fully on-site.

- Fluent Tamil is mandatory.

- Basic knowledge of Hindi and English.

Preferred Background

- Event management companies, including weddings, exhibitions, and corporate events.

- Tent house / shamiana setup.

- Stage setup and event structures.

- Warehouse supervision.

- Construction site supervision.

Compensation & Benefits

- Fixed Salary: ₹18,000 – ₹23,000 per month, based on experience.

- Future Incentives: Potential incentives may be offered and discussed during the interview.

- This is a field-intensive role and not a desk job.

- Candidates must be comfortable working on-site and directly handling labour teams.

- Physical presence and responsibility are required until the assigned job is completed.
