Job Overview

We are looking for an ETL Tester to join our data engineering and QA team. In this role, you will be responsible for validating data transformations, verifying source-to-target mappings, and writing SQL queries to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and performance across our data warehouse setting.

Key Responsibilities

- Data Validation: Validate data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes from multiple source systems into the target data warehouse.
- Test Creation & Execution: Write and execute complex SQL queries to verify data completeness, correctness, and business rule logic.
- Source-to-Target Mapping: Analyze source-to-target mapping documents and ensure transformation rules are accurately implemented.
- Defect Reporting: Identify, document, track, and retest data defects using tools like Jira.
- Collaboration: Work closely with data engineers, ETL developers,



and business analysts to resolve data quality issues and clarify testing requirements.

Requirements & Skills Must-Have:

- Experience: 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in ETL / Data Warehouse testing.
- SQL Proficiency: Strong expertise in writing complex SQL queries (joins, aggregations, subqueries, set operations).
- Database Knowledge: Hands-on experience working with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server) or cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift).
- ETL Tools: Familiarity with ETL processes and tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, SSIS, or DataStage).
- QA Concepts: Solid understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), test planning, test case execution, and defect tracking (Jira).
