Part 1: (JD) Estimation Manager (Data Center Projects)

Role: Estimation Manager / Pre-Construction Manager

Department: Bidding, Tenders & Commercial

Industry Focus: Data Center Construction (Electrical, Low-Side HVAC, MEP, and Civil/Structural)

Reporting To: Sales Director

Position Summary

The Estimation Manager will spearhead the pricing, tendering, and vendor quotation analysis for data center infrastructure projects. You will act as the crucial link between Sales, Engineering, and Procurement, ensuring that our bids are technically sound, competitively priced, and optimized to win tenders from major Data Center developers (e.g., Yotta, CtrlS, Equinix, NxtGen, STT, AdaniConneX) and General Contractors.

Key Responsibilities

Tender Review & Risk Analysis:

Thoroughly review tender documents, RFPs, RFQs, and client specifications for Data Center builds (Greenfield/Brownfield).

Identify potential technical risks, contract ambiguities, and compliance gaps regarding statutory norms or specialized DC standards (e.g., Uptime Institute Tier standards).

Vendor Sourcing & Rate Extraction:

Drive the procurement pricing cycle by floating enquiries to specialized vendors, OEMs,



and subcontractors (for major equipment like Transformers, HT/LT Panels, DG Sets, Chillers, PAC units, raised flooring, etc.).

Negotiate best-in-class pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers to secure a competitive edge.

Cost Estimation & Pricing:

Prepare detailed bottom-up cost estimates encompassing material, labor, equipment deployment, testing, and commissioning.

Calculate accurate direct and indirect costs, overheads, and target profit margins in coordination with the Sales Director.

Bid Submission & Documentation:

Prepare techno-commercial bid proposals, compliance sheets, and final tender documentation within strict client deadlines.

Organize pre-bid meetings, coordinate responses to client clarifications, and participate in post-bid negotiations.

Value Engineering

Propose cost-effective and compliant alternative materials or methods (Value Engineering) during the bidding phase to improve win-rates without compromising quality or safety.

Part 3: Qualifications & Requirements

Education: Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Civil Construction Management.
