We're hiring: ESG Consultant | Pune | Full-time

Sustainability reporting has moved from a nice-to-have to a boardroom conversation. At Oren, we sit in that conversation every week — building carbon inventories that hold up to scrutiny, stress-testing climate risk, and turning messy client data into decisions that actually get made.

We're looking for an ESG Consultant to join our Climate & Sustainability practice in Pune.

What you'll be doing

- Building and quality-checking GHG inventories across Scope 1, 2 and 3, plus carbon footprint and LCA work (ISO 14044) — choosing emission factors and boundaries you can defend
- Supporting climate-risk assessments aligned to TCFD/IFRS S2, and helping clients set science-based targets and build credible decarbonization pathways
- Running ESG gap assessments, benchmarking and materiality / double-materiality analysis
- Preparing disclosures under BRSR, GRI, CSRD/ESRS, CDP and Eco Vadis
- Helping clients build real data governance — people, process, controls, technology — including running data-collection workshops
- Working directly with client sustainability leads and CXOs, presenting findings and owning the relationship
- Contributing to our thought leadership and to the Oren Sustainability Hub, our own ESG platform

- What we're looking for





- Master's / post-graduate qualification in environmental engineering, sustainability or a related field
- 2–3 years in ESG, climate change or sustainability — consulting, financial services or research preferred
- Hands-on strength in GHG accounting, SBTi, LCA, ISO 14064/14044, decarbonization strategy and climate risk
- Working fluency across BRSR, GRI, SASB, TCFD, CSRD, SFDR and UN PRI
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint, and the communication confidence to lead a client conversation
- Based in Pune or willing to relocate; open to client-site travel

Nice to have: GARP SCR or ISO 14001/14064 certification, Python/R/SQL, sector depth in manufacturing, pharma, chemicals, financial services or real estate.
