Role & responsibilities

- Supervise daily engineering and maintenance activities and allocate work to technicians and operators.

- Execute and monitor preventive maintenance and breakdown maintenance activities as per approved schedules.

- Supervise operation and maintenance of HVAC systems, chillers, cooling towers, boilers, nitrogen plant, compressed air plant and water systems.

- Supervise maintenance of autoclaves, pumps, motors, compressors and other plant equipment and utilities.

- Monitor electrical panels, motors, wiring, lighting and basic electrical systems and coordinate troubleshooting.

- Supervise ETP, STP and other utility systems and ensure routine operation and maintenance.

- Coordinate with Production and other departments to plan maintenance activities without disrupting critical operations.

- Coordinate with external vendors/service engineers for maintenance, servicing and technical support.

- Support installation, commissioning, qualification and validation activities of recent equipment and utilities.

- Ensure engineering tools, spares and consumables required for maintenance activities are available and properly controlled.

- Monitor contractor activities at site and ensure compliance with safety and site requirements.

- Ensure engineering activities are performed as per approved SOPs, work instructions and safety procedures.

- Support investigation of equipment failures,



recurring breakdowns and deviations and implement assigned corrective actions.

- Maintain good housekeeping and safety standards in engineering and utility areas.

Preferred candidate profile

- Hands-on experience in pharmaceutical plant engineering and maintenance.

- Good practical knowledge of HVAC, boiler, chiller, cooling tower and water systems.

- Knowledge of autoclaves, pumps, motors, compressors, ETP and STP systems.

- Basic to good knowledge of electrical panels, wiring, motors and electrical troubleshooting.

- Ability to supervise technicians, contractors and external service teams.

- Knowledge of preventive maintenance, breakdown maintenance and equipment troubleshooting.

- Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and awareness of GMP requirements.

- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and maintenance/ERP systems.

- Good communication, coordination, team supervision and problem-solving skills.

- Strong focus on safety, reliability and timely completion of maintenance activities.

- Good knowledge of pharmaceutical plant utilities and engineering systems.

- Hands-on knowledge of HVAC, boiler, chiller, cooling tower and water systems.

- Knowledge of autoclaves, ETP/STP and utility equipment operation and maintenance.

- Knowledge of electrical panels, motors, wiring and basic electrical troubleshooting.

- Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and data integrity awareness.

- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, ERP, EMS system.
