Role Description The Engineering Data and Information Governance Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Pune City. This role is responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining data governance frameworks, policies, and standards across engineering systems and platforms.

Day-to-day tasks include defining data ownership and stewardship, managing metadata, monitoring data quality, and ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements. The specialist will collaborate with engineering, IT, security, and business teams to align data practices with strategic goals, support data lifecycle management, and optimize data flows for reporting and analytics. The role also involves documenting data definitions and processes, supporting audits,



and recommending tools and processes to enhance data integrity, security, and accessibility.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in data governance, including experience with data policies, standards, and data stewardship practices.
- Proficiency in data management concepts such as data modeling, metadata management, master data management, and data quality monitoring.
- Experience with information security and compliance, including handling sensitive data, access controls, and regulatory requirements (e.g., privacy and data protection guidelines).
- Ability to work with engineering and IT teams on data architecture, data integration, and documentation of data flows and system interfaces.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in handling data.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional stakeholders and explain complex data concepts in clear terms.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management, Engineering, or a related field; advanced certifications in data governance or data management are an advantage.
- Prior experience in an engineering or technology-driven workplace, particularly in data governance or data management roles, is highly beneficial.
