Role & responsibilities

- DFA/DFM analysis of all parts required to be developed

- Mould/Tool design review

- Vendor development for recent products/processes in related field

- CAPEX investment calculation for moulds, tools, fixtures etc

- Bottom-up costing related to modular switch products

- Creating database of suppliers in relevant fields

- Manage maintenance of developed moulds, tools, fixtures

- Creating and managing supplier related documentation like NDA, contracts, PO's etc..

- Developing and managing vendor base for prototyping processes for making quick prototypes

- Capacity planning for number of moulds/tools requirement basis forecast

- Value engineering for existing product improvements

- Data management in Windchill or PLM for Engineering activities

Preferred candidate profile

- Knowledge on designing/manufacturing of Moulds, Press tool, Jigs & Fixture

- Knowledge about, AutoCAD & Creo.





- DFA/DFM analysis.

- Should have knowledge of Tool steel and specifications.

- Knowledge of processes like, moulding, stamping, printing, packaging, assembly, testing, painting, cubic printing etc.

- Complete knowledge of modular switch product range/s

- Handling of multiple vendors (inclusive of tier 1 and tier 2)

- Well- versed with Tool Room machines & its processes.

- Hands on experience on Injection mould maintenance & manufacturing.

- Knowledge of various inspection instruments and methods.

- Plan & implement existing plastic injection mould repairing and modification process.

- Mould/Tool and product costing

- Value engineering principles for cost outs and product improvements.
