Recent Product Development (NPD) Engineer

Job Title: NPD Engineer – Automated Gates / Access Automation

Job Location: Dahisar, Mumbai or Sanjan, Vapi Valsad in Gujarat

Industry: Automation / Building Automation / Mechanical-Mechatronics Engineering

Education: B.E. / B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Production Engineering.

Experience: 2 to 5 years of core experience in NPD, preferably within automated gates, bollards, barriers, industrial doors, or related access-control equipment.

Software Tools: Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo, or similar 3D CAD modelling tools.

Technical Knowledge: Strong foundation in sheet metal design, fabrication processes, power transmission systems, motor drive integration

Key Responsibilities

Product Design & Development: Lead end-to-end design and engineering for automated gate systems, structural components, drive systems, and motorized enclosures.

Prototyping & Testing: Build, test,



and validate physical prototypes; analyse mechanical/electrical performance, load capacities, and reliability.

Component Selection & Vendor Coordination: Source and evaluate motors, gearboxes, sensors, microcontrollers, and mechanical hardware in coordination with vendors.

CAD Modelling & Documentation: Create detailed 3D models, 2D manufacturing drawings (GD&T;), Bill of Materials (BOM), and Engineering Change Notices (ECN).

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with production, quality assurance, and site teams to ensure seamless handover from design to mass assembly and installation.
