Job Summary The End Point Engineer III (Virtualization) is a seasoned endpoint and virtualization engineering professional responsible for designing, engineering, maintaining, and continuously improving enterprise virtual endpoint platforms. This role specializes in Citrix, Citrix DaaS, Citrix Cloud, Microsoft Azure, Azure-hosted virtual desktop workloads, and related endpoint technologies that enable secure, reliable, high-performing access to business applications and desktops.

The engineer partners with End Point Services, infrastructure, cloud, security, operations, vendors, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable virtual desktop solutions that support employees, contractors, offshore partners, and business continuity needs.

This role serves as a key technical owner and subject matter expert for the organization’s virtual endpoint ecosystem, with emphasis on Citrix DaaS, Citrix Cloud, Microsoft Azure, Azure Virtual Desktop-related hosting integrations, Citrix Workspace, cloud connectors, delivery groups, machine catalogs, access policies, image lifecycle, performance optimization, and operational readiness. The position requires strong hands-on engineering capability, sound judgment, disciplined change execution, and the ability to translate business requirements into secure and supportable virtualization solutions.

Key Responsibilities Virtualization Platform Engineering & Administration (35%)

- Engineer, configure, maintain, and optimize Citrix DaaS, Citrix Cloud, Citrix Workspace, and related virtualization platform components.
- Support Azure-hosted virtual desktop workloads, Citrix hosting connections, resource locations, cloud connectors, delivery groups, machine catalogs, and virtual desktop access models.
- Participate in the design and execution of virtualization platform strategy, including evaluation of Windows 365, Azure Virtual Desktop, and next-generation cloud VDI capabilities.
- Develop and maintain standards for persistent and non-persistent virtual desktops, user personas, desktop sizing, access models, and environment configuration.
- Ensure platform engineering decisions support performance, scalability, resiliency, security, and operational manageability.

Cloud, Azure & Infrastructure Integration (20%)

- Engineer and support virtualization workloads running in Microsoft Azure, including resource groups, subscriptions, virtual networks, security groups, storage, service principals, and hosting connections used by Citrix DaaS and related platforms.
- Partner with cloud engineering, identity, network, security, and operations teams to ensure virtual desktop environments align with enterprise architecture, compliance, and support standards.
- Assist with Azure region planning workload placement, capacity considerations, disaster recovery readiness, and cost visibility for virtual endpoint services.
- Support migration and modernization efforts involving on-premises VDI workloads, Azure-based VDI, Citrix DaaS, Windows 365, and Azure Virtual Desktop.

Endpoint Image, Application & Access Engineering (15%)

- Engineer virtual desktop images, application delivery models, desktop configurations, and baseline standards in partnership with endpoint engineering and application teams.
- Support integration with Microsoft Intune, Configuration Manager, Company Portal, Group Policy, Entra ID, RBAC, and Active Directory security groups.
- Design and maintain access models for employees, contractors, offshore teams, developers, and business users while ensuring appropriate controls for secure remote access.




- Collaborate on endpoint security requirements including device posture checks, conditional access, data protection controls, endpoint security tools, vulnerability management, and compliance requirements.

Operations, Troubleshooting & Continuous Improvement (20%)

- Serve as an escalation point for complex Citrix, VDI, access, performance, provisioning, profile, application, and Azure-hosted virtual desktop issues.
- Lead technical troubleshooting across Citrix Cloud, Citrix DaaS, Windows endpoints, Azure infrastructure, networking, authentication, and endpoint management domains.
- Develop and maintain runbooks, support documentation, operational standards, knowledge transfer materials, and engineering playbooks.
- Identify automation and process improvement opportunities that reduce manual effort, improve reliability, accelerate provisioning, and simplify day-to-day operations.
- Support incident, problem, change, and release management processes related to virtual endpoint platforms.

Strategy, Collaboration & Technical Leadership (10%)

- Contribute to the virtualization roadmap, including platform rationalization, cloud migration, business continuity, user experience, cost optimization, and vendor strategy.
- Provide technical leadership and practical guidance to operations partners, service desk teams, application teams, project teams, and stakeholders.
- Participate in proof-of-concept efforts, solution evaluations, technical design reviews, production readiness assessments, and post-implementation reviews.
- Mentor peers and operations resources on Citrix, Azure, endpoint virtualization, troubleshooting methods, and platform standards.
- Ability to work on-site in Bengaluru, India is a requirement of the role.

Mode of Working: This role follows a hybrid work model, with a primary base in Bengaluru. While on-site presence is essential for key engagements, flexibility is offered for work from home based on business needs and team alignment. Skills And Background You’ll Need Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field is required. Experience: Typically requires 5+ years of related experience in endpoint engineering, infrastructure engineering, virtualization engineering, systems administration, cloud engineering, or a similar technical role.

- Hands-on experience engineering, supporting, or administering Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Citrix DaaS, Citrix Cloud, Citrix Workspace, or comparable enterprise virtualization platforms.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure infrastructure concepts such as subscriptions, resource groups, virtual networks, storage, virtual machines, service principals, role-based access, and monitoring.
- Experience supporting Windows endpoint environments, virtual desktop images, application delivery, user access models, and enterprise device management platforms.
- Ability to independently handle moderately complex to complex assignments and escalate appropriately when enterprise impact, risk, or architectural decisions are involved.
- Technical ownership and accountability for complex endpoint virtualization services.
- Strong analytical troubleshooting across endpoint, cloud, identity, network, security, and application domains.
- Customer-focused mindset with emphasis on user experience, reliability, access, and business continuity.

- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Citrix DaaS, Citrix Cloud, or Citrix virtualization engineering in an enterprise environment.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience supporting workloads in Microsoft Azure.
- Experience with Azure Virtual Desktop, Windows 365, Cloud PC concepts, or cloud VDI migration planning.
- Experience with Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Configuration Manager, Entra ID, Active Directory, Group Policy, RBAC, and endpoint security controls.
- Experience with PowerShell, automation, scripting, infrastructure-as-code concepts, or API-based operational improvements.
