Key Responsibilities & Scope of Work

- Legal Representation: Represent Jawaharlal Nehru University before the Supreme Court of India, High Court of Delhi, District Courts, Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT), National Green Tribunal (NGT), and other judicial/quasi-judicial bodies.

- Pleadings & Drafting: Prepare, draft, and finalize writs, counter-affidavits, petitions, appeals, written statements, and other legal documentation.

- Legal Advisory: Provide well-researched legal opinions, advice, and guidance to the university administration on complex service, administrative, regulatory, and constitutional matters.

- Case Strategy:



Coordinate with the University legal cell to formulate solid litigation strategies and ensure timely compliance with judicial directions.

Eligibility & Candidate Profile

- Must be an Advocate duly registered with the Bar Council of India / State Bar Council.

- Demonstrated expertise and substantial experience in handling administrative law, service matters, writ petitions, and institutional litigation.

- Strong research, drafting, and oral advocacy skills.

- Prior experience representing government bodies, statutory corporations, or educational institutions is highly desirable.
