Role DescriptionWe are seeking an Embedded Firmware & Control Logic Engineer to develop the core intelligence of our wind turbine MPPT controllers. Bridging hardware and software, this role focuses on translating aerodynamic and electrical data into real-time control actions. You will implement advanced power tracking algorithms on embedded systems (such as the ESP32-S3), ensuring maximum energy extraction through high-speed data logging and precise sensor feedback.
Key Responsibilities
- MPPT Algorithm Development: Design, code, and optimize Maximum Power Point Tracking algorithms specifically tailored for wind turbines, including Hill Climb Search (HCS) and Power Signal Feedback (PSF).
- Firmware Architecture: Write robust, real-time C/C++ firmware for microcontrollers to manage power conversion logic, system state machines, and safety overrides.
- Sensor Integration & Data Logging: Interlace high-speed voltage, current, and RPM sensors with the MCU (via ADC, I2C, SPI) to achieve millisecond-precision data logging for algorithm feedback.
- Control Loop Tuning:
Develop and tune PID control loops to maintain reliable voltage and current regulation during rapidly changing wind conditions.
- System Diagnostics: Implement telemetric reporting and fault detection logic to monitor the health of the turbine and controller in real time.
