We are looking for an experienced Embedded Engineer – BLE / Low-Power Wireless to take end-to-end ownership of the device-side engineering for our connected devices deployed in institutional environments.

You will work on battery-powered BLE sensor nodes, low-power firmware, wireless communication, OTA/DFU, sensor selection, and real-world RF performance. This is a hands-on role focused on building reliable products that operate for years with minimal maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop firmware for battery-powered BLE sensor nodes using low-power, event-driven architectures.
- Design and optimize BLE advertising payloads, state models, TX power, and advertising intervals.
- Own the complete power budget and optimize firmware for multi-year coin-cell operation.
- Develop and maintain OTA/DFU mechanisms for deployed devices.
- Debug and optimize BLE/RF performance in challenging indoor environments.
- Select and validate sensors considering mechanical wear, moisture, tampering, and environmental conditions.
- Conduct hardware/firmware debugging using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, BLE sniffers, and other tools.
- Work closely with the domain/product team and participate in field testing and deployments.
- Analyze field issues and drive solutions for reliability, battery life, and device performance.

Must-Have Skills & Experience
- 3–5 years of embedded systems development experience.
- At least one battery-powered wireless product shipped to real users.
- Strong understanding of BLE at protocol level, including advertising, scanning, GAP roles, payload design,

TX power, and intervals.
- Strong Embedded C skills with modern low-power MCUs.
- Hands-on experience with Nordic nRF52/nRF53, STM32L, TI CC26xx, Silicon Labs EFR32, or equivalent.
- Production experience with an RTOS such as Zephyr, nRF Connect SDK, FreeRTOS, or similar.
- Experience designing power budgets using sleep current, wake cycles, battery capacity, and expected operating life.
- Hands-on experience implementing and using OTA/DFU after deployment.
- Proficiency with oscilloscope, logic analyzer, and BLE sniffer.

Valuable to Have
- Experience developing coin-cell powered products.
- Experience managing fleets of 100+ deployed devices.
- Exposure to beacon, RTLS, or asset-tracking products.
- Experience with Hall-effect, reed, or magnetic sensors.
- Knowledge of wireless certifications such as FCC, CE, or WPC ETA.
- Experience supporting products installed and maintained by non-technical users.

Education
- B.E./B.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, Embedded Systems, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong practical experience and shipped products will be valued more than academic background.

Not a Fit If

- Your experience is primarily in Embedded Linux rather than low-power embedded systems.
- Your primary embedded experience is limited to Arduino/ESP32 hobby projects.
- You are unable to discuss power consumption and battery-life calculations in practical terms.
- You have no experience troubleshooting a product in the field.

Ideal Candidate You are a hands-on embedded engineer who enjoys solving difficult real-world problems, can reason precisely about power, RF, firmware, and reliability, and takes ownership from development through field deployment.

If you have built and shipped low-power wireless products and enjoy solving problems beyond the development board, we'd like to hear from you.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month

Application Question(s)

- Are you available to join immediately? If not what is your official notice period?
- Are you comfortable working full-time from our office in Gurugram (Sector 79)?
- Have you implemented OTA/DFU and debugged BLE/firmware issues on devices deployed in the field?
- Do you have a Laptop ?
- Have you personally developed and shipped a battery-powered BLE/wireless product to real users?
- How many years of hands-on experience do you have in Embedded C and low-power embedded firmware development?
- Which BLE and low-power platforms have you worked with hands-on?
- Have you personally worked on power optimization and battery-life calculations for a battery-powered product?
