Job Role
- Calibration Engineer
- Perform calibration, verification, and adjustment of instruments across various measurement domains.
- Work with electrical, mechanical, thermal, pressure, dimensional, optical, and other measuring instruments.
- Conduct on-site calibration, inspection, and troubleshooting at client locations.
- Travel to client sites for field calibration activities, up to 80 km per day.
- Perform laboratory-based calibration activities as required.
- Maintain accurate calibration records, results, instrument conditions, and documentation.
- Maintain instrument history and ensure proper data traceability.
- Handle calibration tools, test equipment, and instruments carefully during field and laboratory operations.
- Provide technical guidance to clients regarding calibration procedures and proper equipment usage.
- Identify and suggest process improvements to improve calibration accuracy and efficiency.
- Stay updated with new calibration techniques, technologies, and measurement practices.
- Participate in internal training and skill development programs.
- Follow all applicable safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure calibration activities comply with ISO/IEC 17025 and internal quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma / ITI in Electronics & Communication, Instrumentation, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
- B.E. in Electronics & Communication, Instrumentation, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
- B.Sc. in Physics.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of calibration practices and measurement principles.
- Technical knowledge of electronic, mechanical, thermal, optical, and other measuring instruments.
- Knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 quality standards.
- Basic understanding of traceability, uncertainty calculation, and standard measurement practices.
- Previous experience in calibration, maintenance, or instrument servicing is an advantage.
- Basic computer knowledge and accurate documentation skills.
- Valuable written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to explain technical procedures clearly to clients.
- Strong time-management and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage field assignments.
- Willingness to travel regularly for fieldwork.
Experience
- Freshers and experienced candidates can apply.
- Prior experience in calibration or instrumentation will be an advantage.
Job Requirements
Field Work
- Primarily field-based role.
- Client visits within an 80 km radius.
- Up to 80 km of travel per day may be required.
